Shannon Van Esley is a New York City based Voiceover, Commercial, Stage, TV/Film Actor, Theatre Educator, Singer, and Activist. Born in Detroit, she moved to NYC at age 17 and trained at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and The New School. She's performed professionally on stage (Yates Musical Theatre, American Family Theatre, Celtic Theatre Company), camera (American Prophet, The Perfect Murder, Brain Games) in the recording booth (Google, Fisher Price, Mega Bloks, Brother Ink) and most recently collaborated with 13th Street Repertory Company. Shannon has instructed at Motor City Youth Theatre and Paper Mill Playhouse Classes for Kids. She's volunteered and worked for organizations including Brady United Against Gun Violence, New York Coalition to End Gun Violence, Moveon.org, Flip These Houses, Concert Across America to End Gun Violence, Women's March, and serves as an anti-violence advocate on the NYC Mayor's Office to Prevent Gun Violence Survivors Advisory Committee. Shannon lives with her charming boyfriend, Eric Davidson (music journalist and lead singer of the garage punk band New Bomb Turks) in Queens. She is a strong believer that people should frequent diners and buy from newsstands. "If we don't use them, we will lose them!'.
